Comments: It's the not-too-distant future. The world--rusty, metallic, and largely underground--is almost devoid of things of beauty.
As such, women are valued more highly than gold; thus the development in 2027 of the Personal Protection Droid, a fully combat-trained robot.
The unarmed PPD model shown here is nonetheless fully trained in the martial arts and a single human attacker (or unfortunate passer-by) is no match for its skills.
